My story

I didn’t leave ambition behind. I gave it a different address.

I'm Kritika, mother of two. AlphaBetaMumma is the thing I built when I realised I didn't want to do motherhood alone in a city that can feel enormous by 4pm.

Before any of this, I was on the chartered accountancy path. I finished a Master's in the UK and built a corporate career I was genuinely proud of. The work still mattered after my children arrived. Being there mattered more. So I stepped away, and I built a small business around the life I actually had, not the one I'd planned on a spreadsheet.

In 2023, when my son was about eleven months old, I opened a private WhatsApp circle for mothers who were also figuring it out. A school recommendation. A doctor someone trusted. A fight at home you didn't want to post about. A first bicycle. It was never designed as a brand. It was a village, and I needed one too.

That circle is now 15,000 mothers. We still talk about the ordinary things. Alongside that, I've made guides, hosted mornings, travelled with families, and worked with brands who wanted to meet mothers without shouting at them. If you've just landed here, stay. There's a good chance the thing you're looking for is already on one of these pages.

  1. Before the children

CA studies, a Master's in the UK, and a corporate life I liked enough that leaving it was a real decision.

  2. Motherhood

Two children, and a choice to be present. The ambition didn't disappear. It changed rooms.

  3. A business of my own

Something small, built around nap times and the life I was actually living.

  4. The village

A WhatsApp circle in 2023. Fifteen thousand mothers now, and it still feels like people who would answer if you wrote tonight.

The conversations haven't become more glamorous as we've grown. They're still about schools and doctors, partners and in-laws, a job, a tiny business, a bicycle. That's the point. There's also room here if you make things, if you want to meet other creators, or if a brand has asked you to find mothers who will tell the truth.
